Wordsworth Greenwich Press

                    WELCOME

WordsworthGreenwich Press is a small, privately-held, literary press which publishes only literary novels, poetry, stage plays and humanitarian non-fiction, which transcend the standards of commercial and mainstream, best-selling books. We seek to publish only as many as 10 titles per year and when we do not receive manuscripts of transcendent literary or social value, we simply will publish fewer books.

WordsworthGreenwich Press recognizes that most commercial publishers seek maximum profitability by producing content popular with mainstream readers. The business niche for our press is to serve sophisticated and socially aware readers whose literary tastes largely remain unanswered by the business models and literary tastes of most mainstream book publishers.

We seek to create a business legacy in which great books establish a platform to enrich American culture. Our goal consciously is not to publish best-sellers but rather to sell the literary masterpieces of the future. We are prepared for sophisticated readers to discover decades downstream, if not today, those masterpieces written now.

If a book is masterfully written and brings forward unheard and unknown voices with stories steeped in humanity, then that book is more likely to be one that we would want to explore for publication. We want our readers to be moved by the books that we publish and to be challenged by the innovation of new literary styles.

On May 29th Gary Anderson's masterpiece literary novel, Best of All Possible Worlds, launched from WordsworthGreenwich Press on Goodreads.

We are socially aware as a company and give back to the communities in which we live and work by proactively supporting charitable associations for literacy, homelessness and child health worldwide.

It is our conviction that, if we can bring to light those books which genuinely enhance American literary culture, then that reward will suffice for a labor of love and enduring profitability will follow sooner or later.

WordsworthGreenwich Press is a Proust Society Member of the Center for Fiction in New York, the Academy of American Poets , the Connecticut Authors and Publishers Association and the Royal Society of Literature in London.
